the emotional cut?

the beginning of the dream is lost.

but i come to in a bed with yellow floral print reminiscent of the 70s. its the guest bed of josh. he is standing over me, saying ‘uh, hello?!’ in a way that is surprised and confused as much as it is a greeting.

 

he has this ridiculous haircut i keep staring at trying to understand exactly what is going on with it. i am as confused about his hairdo as he seems about my presence in his guestbed. molly is at the mirror getting ready. there is the vibe that the two of them need to go somewhere and are sort of rushing.

i realize suddenly that he is trying to dread his hair. the entire look of hte hair is definitely an emo cut (emotional cut) and it is brushe forward and there are straks of white in it. but i see that he has pulled parts of it into clumps and he is rying to dread. miserably, by the way. he is doing a terrible job.

knowing they ar ein a hurry i assure him i will tell molly how to help him since dreading is about partnership more than it is about singularity. i go to her as she is at the mirror and tell her how to help him dread. i tell him to get a lotion for his scalp and to scrub it with a toothbrush. they think i’m crazy.

in another dream, seth and i have shown up unexpectedly to dr. (rebekkah) smith’s house. we had thought it would be a good idea to garden for her to make up for sme hours i missed with the study. however the moment she answers her door i realize how inappropriate it is to show up here without calling and i apologize. i explain for some reason we thought it wold be a good idea but then she says (just s i discover this for myself internally) that if i gardened for her, then she couldn’t do it. meaning, it is her way of relaxing and she enjoys it.

she invites us in and seth has brought her a carlos castaneda book which she dismisses. we are in some storage area of her house.
